We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website. Contract creation and electronic contracting The technical steps required to create the contract between you and us are as follows: You place the order for your products on the Website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the Website. We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from GEC Anderson Limited. As your product is shipped from our warehouse or production facilities we will send you a despatch confirmation email. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions in Change or cancel an order Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following: The product you ordered being unavailable from stock. Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment. The identification of a pricing or product description error. You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions. The contract will be concluded in English.
Delivery
GEC Anderson Limited will notify you by way of email when your goods are to be dispatched to you. The message will contain details of estimated delivery times in addition to any reasons for a delay in the delivery of the Goods purchased by you. Delivery of standard products is normally with 2 weeks. Delivery of purpose-made products is normally 5-6 working weeks. If GEC Anderson Limited receives no communication from you, within 7 days of delivery, regarding any problems with the Goods, you are deemed to have received the Goods in full working order and with no problems.
Return / Refund / Cancellation Policy
GEC Anderson Limited aims to always provide high quality Goods that are fault free and undamaged. On occasion however, goods may need to be returned. Returns are governed by these Terms and Conditions. If you receive Goods which do not match those that you ordered, unless accompanied by an explanatory note detailing the changes, stating reasons for the changes and setting out your options, you should contact us within 10 days to arrange collection and return. GEC Anderson Limited is not responsible for paying shipment costs. You will be given the option to have the Goods replaced with those ordered (if available) or to be refunded through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods. Refunds and replacements will be issued upon our receipt of the returned Goods. If any Goods you have purchased have faults when they are delivered to you, you should contact GEC Anderson Limited within 7 days to arrange collection and return. Goods must be returned in their original condition with all packaging and documentation. Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the price of the Goods, as paid by you, will be refunded to you through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods. If any Goods develop faults within their warranty period, you are entitled to a repair or replacement under the terms of that warranty. If Goods are damaged in transit and the damage is apparent on delivery, you should sign the delivery note to the effect that the goods have been damaged. In any event, you should report such damage to GEC Anderson Limited within 7 days and arrange collection and return. Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the price of the Goods, as paid by you, will be refunded to you through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods. GEC Anderson Limited reserves the right to exercise discretion with respect to any returns under these Terms and Conditions. Factors which may be taken into account in the exercise of this discretion include, but are not limited to: Any use or enjoyment that you may have already had out of the Goods; Any characteristics of the Goods which may cause them to deteriorate or expire rapidly; Any discounts that may have formed part of the purchase price of the Goods to reflect any lack of quality made known to the Customer at the time of purchase. Such discretion to be exercised only within the confines of the law. A 25% restocking charge will generally apply. Contract cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish provided that you exercise your right and notify us no longer than 7 working days after the day on which you receive the Products. If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract after your order has already been despatched, we will refund the original purchase price and delivery charge, provided that you have notified us in writing no longer than 7 working days after the day on which you receive the Products, and that you have taken reasonable care of the Products and not used them. Goods can only be returned for this reason if their packaging remains unopened and the Goods can be re-sold, as new, without any additional work on the part of GEC Anderson. You are responsible for paying return shipment costs if Goods are returned for this reason. If you wish to return Goods to GEC Anderson for any of the above reasons, please contact us using the details below to make the appropriate arrangements. Please note that your right to return Products under the Distance Selling Arrangements does NOT apply to Products which fall into the following categories unless they are faulty or not as described: Made to measure, personalised or special order goods Description of products Each Product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description which sets out additional Specific Conditions related to that Product including, without limitation, Terms and Conditions concerning estimated delivery dates and times, warranties, after-sales service and guarantees.
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted in accordance with our Order acceptance policy.
