GEC Anderson stainless steel worktops and units were recently specified within the heart of historic Lancaster Castle.

Until 2011, the castle was used as a working prison and courtroom but an ongoing modernisation program is now underway. Educational and visitor facilities to this important legacy make the historical facts available to everyone.

Building Design Partnership were employed to deal with this work and GEC Anderson worked with main contractor, Manchester and Cheshire Construction. A continuous stainless steel worktop with integral sinks and stainless steel supports was supplied and installed by GEC Anderson. The unit was tailored to fit within the original, angled, stone wall.
